Well, let’s agree that for CitySAVER it doesn’t matter. You’d probably take a coupon from anybody.
So we’re really talking about the CitySavior side. If you don’t care about that, then just skip to the next page.
So the short is that we typically see a “Statement of Faith” as a way to find out why you shouldn’t agree with people. If you don’t see all the right bullet points you’re looking for, you can feel justified to write them off. We’re not going to make it that easy for you. You’re going to have judge us by our fruit.
Everybody here is desperately in love with Jesus Christ and believes that He is the only begotten Son of the Father; fully God and fully Man; that He is not a created thing; that He pre-existed; that He was born of a virgin; lived a sinless like; died on a Roman cross; rose on the third day; sits at the right hand of the Father; was the sacrifice for all of our sins; is the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him. We believe that salvation is a free gift – and that if we call Him our “Lord” then we ought to obey Him who knows best. The Bible is our absolute standard – but that means what it SAYS, not what people SAY that it says. Each person should work out their own salvation with fear and trembling – and will stand before God alone.
After that, what’s the difference really? Saturday, not Sunday? Wine, not grape juice? Long hair, short hair? Tongues, no tongues? Are those secondary or not? What do you want to elevate up there with Jesus? We can rip women out of the pulpit and put Jezebel-filled men in there with no problem? You can murder someone, do your time, get out, go to seminary and be ordained as a pastor? But you can never be divorced, even if it wasn’t your fault? Even if it was before you were a Christian?
Christ and Him crucified PLUS Pre-Trib Rapture to be saved? Christ and Him crucified PLUS eat Kosher to be saved? Really? Christ and Him crucified PLUS what? Are you really sure Jesus doesn’t mind you adding stuff to His requirements?
We have over 50,000 denominations. How many is too many? Our LORD and SAVIOR prayed that we would be ONE. Shouldn’t we be praying in agreement with Him? What’s it going to take? Maybe we could just STOP trying to be RIGHT and make an effort to be ONE. THAT is what CitySavior is about.
Is there no end to what we’ll use to hack the Body of Christ up into pieces? Can this really be justified?
We’ve GOT the stop this division. We’ve GOT to. He’s not coming back for this mess. We’ve got to stop fighting over the secondary things.
Look, you say it’s a free gift and you say it’s about Grace, but then you tell people all the things that they are DOING that are going to send them to hell – no matter what their heart. Maybe we could just have some Safe Spaces where we stopped shooting at each other and played nice. You’d think a church would be holy ground where you couldn’t shoot people, but that seems like the WORST place to find peace.
Seems like it’s easier to get 1% bad guy bikers with shoot on sight orders to come together in peace.
